Dad Risks Reputation, Livelihood and Career to Question Gender Ideology in Schools

A couple weeks ago I made a decision to stand with a child safeguarding activist Chris Elston (known as @billboardchris) when he visited Ottawa. I share this here because I know this to be a serious forum (LinkedIn) where business owners and professionals seek to put their best selves forward in the space and where we all value our reputations — and because this is a serious topic affecting our families, communities, and workplaces. Chris Elston has been travelling across the country for the last year with questions about the exploding numbers of transgender-identified children in our society in the last decade and the disturbing trend of child-medicalization absent any scientific evidence to its efficacy. Grossly disproportionate numbers of these children are vulnerable: they have high rates of comorbid mental health issues like autism, eating disorders, cutting, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and other mental health issues, and in one more area of inequity for Indigenous people, child medical transitioners are disproportionately indigenous.
I believe the overwhelming number of informed citizens on this issue are deeply concerned that there are too many questions about this phenomenon for it to be something that we just accept in society without examination — yet anyone who asks questions is bullied, slandered, threatened and intimidated into silence.
There is zero historical evidence to support the numbers of children today who are trans-identified. We have recorded history dating back five thousand years and sophisticated human construction and glyph-based records dating back at least twelve-thousand years. At no point in any of human history have we ever used synthetic hormones, medicines and complex surgeries to try to change the sex of children from boys to girls, or girls to boys. It is only in the last 100 years that we have any record of attempts to medically change a man into a woman, and it’s a horrifying history of human experimentation, tragedy and gore worthy of comparison to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Bluntly the problem @billboardchris is attempting to illuminate is that children who identify as transgender are being expedited though unproven, experimental medical procedures in Canada. They are being given puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones in an unregulated environment which result in sterilization, a lifetime dependence on pharmaceuticals and significantly increased long-term health risks. This seems to be disproportionately affecting our most vulnerable kids and notably, far too many indigenous kids.
There are no politicians who want to hear this issue. Catherine McKenna, former Member of Parliament for my riding refused to hear about the issue from her constituents while she was an MP; and Yasir Naqvi, my current MP, Liberal was instrumental in passing provincial legislation, co-sponsor of Bill 33 and supporter of Bill 77, which however well-intentioned, form part of the legislative scaffolding which has led to these institutional abuses.
This is hard to read if you’re just coming to this because it is so far from what our model of the world and our sense of identity as polite and civil citizens of Canada. My claims are so shocking that they likely seem alarmist and conspiratorial. A normal response is to think that this can’t possibly be real. Yet it is and that’s why I bring this to LinkedIn. If you’re reading this you value your professional reputation and can understand what a risk it is to make a public claim about something as frightening as this on your career, your business, your livelihood.
I built my business on trust. I manage people’s life savings for a living and so fundamentally, trust and reputation are my livelihood. As I’m sure you’re aware they say it takes years to build a reputation and seconds to lose it and so I would ask that before you reject what I’m exposing here, that you ask yourself “what could possibly be so important that a business professional would risk his livelihood and career for?”
I’ve done the work examining this problem. It is in my nature and part of my profession that before I take a proposal to a client, or have it examined by lawyers and accountants for validity, that I have tested my ideas first. In this case I have searched out the work of the leading experts in the world on this subject and spent the last four months researching, studying, and verifying sources. The political climate is such that no media organization will touch this, and people who try to raise the issue are being bullied and intimidated into silence. The problem is so serious however that we MUST stand up and speak about this in spite of the deafening silence from the media and the deafening voices trying to drown out questions and dissent of the current narratives. We must bring this to the attention of others in any way we can, and we must demonstrate that there is a large constituent of people who share these concerns.
Ontario Bill 33 made Transgender people a protected class — it extended the umbrella of human rights protections to cover gender identity and expression, but it failed to recognize that there are several types of transgender presentations — one of which is the result of what’s known as a sexual paraphilia, or what we used to call a sexual fetish. This is known as autogynephelia or AGP for short. One unintended consequence of this bill was to give cover as well as moral and social legitimacy to men who get off fantasizing that they are women, and yes, I’m talking about the pervert who masturbates while wearing women’s underwear in some cases. It also fails to recognize that gender dysphoria was and still is recognized as a mental disorder that is often part of a constellation of serious mental health conditions, such as addictions, eating disorders, mood disorders and serious personality disorders like Narcissism and Borderline (NPD and BPD) where identity instability and disturbances are central features. Many of these comorbid conditions are social pathologies, meaning that there is a higher likelihood of finding manipulators, abusive personalities and predators who have negative impacts on the people around them, among those who identify as trans women. These may or may not be a feature of gender dysphoria, but they certainly are features of the common comorbid conditions like eating disorders and personality disorders.
One would rightly say that not all trans people are AGP, and not all fetishistic trans women lack boundaries around their sexual fantasies, but we make a grave mistake when we give human rights protections to a group of people who we know to have very high comorbid rates of dangerous mental health conditions and have significantly higher prevalence of Cluster B personality disorders than the general population. We’re talking about Sociopaths, Psychopaths, Narcissists and Borderlines here and not only have we given them legitimacy and a human rights shield to hide behind, but we have given men with these conditions access to women’s spaces and to the hearts and minds of our children in their schools.
School boards in Ontario are now smuggling pseudo-religious gender identity models, developed by Trans Rights Activists (TRAs) into schools and are teaching children as young as six that there’s no such thing as biological sex. We are teaching that gender is a social construction, and that gender identity is a projection of stereotypes that parents impose upon children. We are teaching that biology doesn’t exist.
When I was six, I understood that boys pee standing up and girls pee sitting down but we are teaching kids in the Ontario curriculum today that there is no such thing as boys and girls and that gender identity comes entirely from social conditioning. The belief is that girls play with dolls and boys play with trucks according to this model because those are the toys that we give them and that this brainwashes children into false selves and false consciousness. This is completely irreconcilable with science. The nature vs nurture debate in developmental psychology and in biology was settled decades ago, and the gender curriculum, driven by mostly by AGP Type Trans Women and their allies is pushing disproven and unscientific beliefs onto children that are psychologically destabilizing. The content is completely age-inappropriate and deeply confusing to children.
Laws in Ontario passed against Gay Conversion Therapy (Bill 77–2015) have extended protections (rightfully given) to gay kids against forced conversions to heterosexuality — but this extends to also to gender dysphoria which is classed as a mental disorder. This means, after being psychologically primed with confusing and disproven assertions about gender identity in school, that if a child questions their identity or if they muse that they might be trans, which would be natural following a confusing ideological indoctrination, that children can only be affirmed.
This means teachers are delivering a confusing and unscientific gender-theory as curriculum and then when kids are confused, counsellors, doctors, psychologists, and social workers must ONLY affirm the questioned identity — or in other words, they must affirm the mental disorder in the name of human rights.
This is known as the affirmative care model. The problem is that it is not uncommon for children to fantasize about being the opposite gender as they grow up, and the overwhelming numbers of children who have present to clinicians with gender dysphoria historically (between 70% and 90% depending on the study) have simply grown out of these fantasies as they have gone through puberty and grown into adulthood. Now, with “Affirmation-Only “ therapy, these somewhat normal fantasies and ideations are being locked in through school-enabled interventions and medical transitions facilitated by therapists and doctors.
To summarize so far, we have given cover to a group of people prone to high rates of pathological behaviors and serious comorbid mental health conditions by extending human rights protections for them as a group. Children are being taught in schools that there is no such thing as biological sex. If they question or muse about the questions raised in the curriculum, or they wonder aloud with anyone who acts in an official capacity, those people must affirm the child’s stated identity. The overwhelming number of kids who are falling into confusion about these false teachings in schools have significant mental health issues. Vulnerable children in Canada who have mental-health issues are then being subjected to off-label unstudied puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones and medical gender reassignment.
What perhaps to me is most terrifying is that anyone who dares to speak about it is silenced. When I stood with Chris Elston on a public street corner across from a high school in Ottawa two weeks ago, within three minutes of our arrival a car stopped quickly in front of us, a man got out and proceeded to berate and yell at us claiming we were violating his human rights for standing is quiet protest with signs that read: “Children Can’t Consent to Puberty Blockers;” and “Dad: /person who loves his kids and protects them from gender ideology in schools,” and “No-One is born in the wrong body.”
This person stated within seconds that he had a clean record and if he was arrested for assault, that he would get his charges dropped. It came to light a few hours later that he had announced his plans on twitter and Facebook to act as a self-appointed vigilante in advance of his attack while also bragging that no judge would convict him. Dozens of people online cheered him on and congratulated him for this behavior.
This is not an isolated type of bullying and of intimidation. The knee-jerk from the TRAs (Trans Rights Activists) is to cry bigotry and transphobia online and to whip a cancel mob into action to destroy the heretics to their religion. A person subject to online smearing, slander, libel and cancellation can lose their jobs, careers, reputations, and social status. These are the collective actions of people with personality disorders and abusive personalities, and they know that this is largely an effective tool to silence critics and to assert abusive power. People are afraid for their security and livelihoods and are afraid to speak.
The irony is that the trans education content is embedded in the anti-bullying curriculum — which is convenient because it escaped the public scrutiny that the sex education curriculum rightfully gets; yet people who identify with the modern tribal understanding of Trans, as the most oppressed minority, explicitly and aggressively use bullying and abuse as a central tactic to their “activism.”
There is much to share about this topic. The numbers of trans identified children presenting to the Tavistock’s Gender Identity Disorder Services (GIDS) in the UK is 2007 was 79, in 2017 it was over 2,300. That’s almost 45 times the number of cases per year over a ten-year period. Canada has similar numbers.
A recent survey result reported by journalist Abigail Shrier and shared on the Bari Weiss Substack, was that in a wide survey of American college students, in 2007, about 1 of 2,000 young women identified as transgender or gender non-conforming. In 2020 that number was 1 of 20. This is a 100x increase.
This is not the case of a type of person who was been historically oppressed suddenly able to express themselves freely. If that was the case, trans-identified people would have started coming out in large numbers decades ago and they would have been included with our collective embrace of gays and lesbians who mostly lived in secret prior to Gay Liberation. If it was the case then adults today, who would have been unable to come out of the closet about their trans nature as they were growing up, would be coming out in the same proportions of the populations as we are seeing in young people today. This is not happening.
Something is deeply, deeply wrong and we need more people to stand up like we did and demand that we have the public conversation about this issue. As it is now, this conversation is bullied out of the town square with false allegations, and this suggests that there is something very significant that these activists are hiding. Secrets kept by institutions about what’s happening to our kids, and a refusal of any accountability by public institutions when it comes to educating and safeguarding children is simply unacceptable. The bullying and the intimidation and the slandering and the debasement of credibility of anyone who asks questions must be called out and it must stop. Institutionally condoned mobbing and bullying tactics, name-calling and even violence by proxy is in incompatible with a stable society. Yet these are tactics being used by school boards, politicians, the media and directly by Trans activists.
This indicates that there is certainly a problem that needs to be confronted and we all must be willing to stand up to this. The last few times we failed to call out systemic abuses in schools in Canada we were hiding sexual abuse scandals by priests, and we were hiding the atrocities of the residential schools.
I’m calling on thoughtful and caring people to share this information. Investigate for yourself. Ask your children’s teachers about the anti-bullying and gender curriculum in your child’s schools. Speak with friends and family about this. Raise questions.
Stand up!
